Summary Manages financial activities by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

Assures transactions are done accurately and per procedure
- AP, AR, General Accounting
Oversee audit and other system transactions
- Inventory, Billing, Order Entry
Accurate preparation of financial statements monthly, quarterly, and annually as required in compliance with accounting standards, procedures, and SOX.
Ensure inventory costs are accurate
- Standards review/adjustment
- Audit transactions
- Close jobs
- E&O reserve
- Maintain indirect rates, O/H, material
- Maintain direct labor rates
Audit/Oversee all company SOX procedures
- Internal Audit
- Support external audit
- Coordinate, write, and maintain procedures
Forecasting
- Cost, revenue, EBITDA as needed including mid-month estimate
Establish/Meet Management Goals
- Sales / EBIDTA
- Working Capital
Assist with Government contracts/audits
Employee’s primary duties require him/her to use discretion and independent judgment.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervises a total of two employees in the Accounting Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; 5-7 years of accounting experience, with 2-3 years in a supervisory or management role. Strongly prefer either an advanced degree in a business related field or CPA.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply college level mathematical concepts to help run the business.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced skills in Microsoft Office and other database programs.
Other Qualifications
Must be able to travel 5% of the time.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time and an air conditioned and heated office. The noise level is moderate. The shop floor is in the same building as the office and will be required to occasionally visit the shop which may expose the employee to loud noise and fumes.
